Jeremy Blankenship

Crossroads Chapel Hill at The Carolina Inn | Chapel hill, NC

A Hillsborough native and lifelong UNC fan, Jeremy is the executive chef of The Carolina Inn’s signature restaurant, Crossroads Chapel Hill, commanding kitchen operations for the restaurant, banquet, and in-room dining programs.

Inspired by his mother’s and grandmother’s love for food, Jeremy first worked in restaurants during his time as a student at UNC-Greensboro and found that the busy environment and the teamwork that it required really set him on fire. That passion led him to the culinary program at Johnson and Wales in Charleston, and his internship with that program allowed him the opportunity to join The Carolina Inn team in 2000 under former executive chef Brian Stapleton.

Jeremy also spent time working at Magnolia Grill in Durham, under the mentorship of Ben and Karen Barker. And he has held lead chef positions at Tyler’s Taproom and Laplace Louisiana Cookery. Plus, he served as a culinary instructor for the Northern Durham High Culinary Program. Jeremy and his wife, Jessica, are parents to three children.
